VIRTUAL WALK-THROUGH: Volcano! Mount St. Helens in Art

Volcano! Mount St. Helens in Art opened at the Portland Art Museum in early February and has been an exciting opportunity to honor the history of one of the Pacific Northwest's natural wonders.

Since the closure of the museum due to COVID-19, they are offering more digital experiences, such as this video walkthrough of Volcano, featuring narration by Dawson Carr, Ph.D., the Janet and Richard Curator of Northwest Art.

The Museum has a number of ways to enjoy art outside the gallery walls, and resources for parents and kids at home during state-wide school closures including artist talks and lectures on our YouTube channel, podcast, and Online Collections. See a full list below.

Museum and Northwest Film Center staff are looking forward to welcoming everyone back soon. Stay tuned to social media channels for updates and other ways to bring art and film into your life during these uncertain times.
